We get it, shopping in NYC can be seriously overwhelming. That's why we asked New York-based stylist and vintage curator Ashley Isaacs to share her favorite NYC shopping spots. Sorry, bank account.
Urban Jungle
120 KNICKERBOCKER AVE, BROOKLYN, NY 11237
This store has a hip, warehouse vibe deep in Bushwick, Brooklyn. It has thrift store charm with bargain prices, and the sweetest thing about it—everything has been sorted, curated and organized already, so that all the bad stuff has been weeded out. My favorite finds: vintage varsity jackets ($30), Harley-Davidson tees (under $10), slip dresses ($8), vintage prom dresses ($15), men's old bowling shirts ($10), and of course some killer Hawaiian shirts ($15).
It's a fun mix of components that should be in every vintage lovers closet. They have sister stores all over New York that also have a wide variety of stock and the best part? Each sister store has a slightly different vibe, so you can find different gems in each.
Worship
117 Wilson Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11237
Also in Bushwick, Worship is a fan favorite known for the cute ambiance and its Instagram feed. Items are posted daily and are so tantalizing that you can't say no—also, the price point and styles is always dead on the mark. Bodysuits and onesies are two of my favorite pieces to shop for and I have been lucky to find both here. Two of my current favorite things listed are a '90s Looney Tunes Bodysuit ($22) and an ornate '70s denim jacket ($54).
On weekends they've had a strew of cool DJs play sets to amplify the shopping experience and have a more pleasurable buy. It's a great mix of Brooklyn vibes and vintage deals that leave a girl happy.
